These are some of my favorite adventures close to home.  I find it so refreshing to get out of the city and decompress.  Ash Meadows is especially cool, it's clear blue water and greenery are such a great escape, I find this place so calming and centering.  You must visit this magical place!  Its a spring-fed desert wetlands about 100 miles from Vegas that is just a beautiful natural oasis in the desert.  This article highlights some great places to visit and see wildlife and great desert blooms this time of year.
